A tri-county effort has paid off as the suspects in a string of daylight burglaries have been arrested. Law enforcement agencies from Blackford, Grant and Wells counties have arrested 67-year-old Judith Sower and 40-year-old Jeff Sower, both of Upland and 33-year-old Anthony McGriff and 28-year-old Stephanie McGriff, both of Muncie. Police are in the process of returning the stolen merchandise and say that alert citizens helped lead to the capture of the suspects.

A monstrous tornado at least a half-mile wide with winds up to 200 mph ripped through the Oklahoma city of Moore Monday. Officials say the death toll is expected to rise while more than 200 are being treated at hospitals.The National Weather Service says the twister was at least an EF4.21.05.13
