U.S. Senator Richard Lugar said good-bye to the Senate yesterday. Although Lugar has a few weeks left in his term, the Republican took the senate floor in his farewell address. Lugar emphasized the importance of good foreign policy and stated that the relationship between the White House and Congress was the worst he had seen in his 37 years in office.

A local member of the American Red Cross is helping in the tornado recovery effort Oklahoma City. Staff Relations Manager Barb Cross says she‘s among numerous Red Cross staffers nationwide on the ground and assessing the needs. Cross says she always feels personally blessed to be able to help those who are in trouble.
