Richmond Bank Robbery Suspect In Custody

Richmond police say the man they believe robbed a downtown bank yesterday is now in the Wayne County Jail. 57-year-old Maurice Mitchell was arrested on a pair of felony counts, including armed robbery and possession of cocaine. Police say he’s the man that walked into the downtown U.S. Bank branch yesterday morning and handed a note to a teller demanding money before fleeing the building on foot.
