Two MPD Officers Draw Brief Suspensions

Two Muncie police officers have drawn brief suspensions over the events of Dec. 8-9, when the local Fraternal Order of Police lodge hosted its annual Christmas party.
Brad Wiemer, a Muncie Police Department sergeant, and patrolman Tyler Swain each admitted that they fired gunshots into a pond outside the FOP lodge on the night of the party. Chief Steve Stewart says the suspensions were imposed Dec. 19 and have already been served.
