Anderson Seeks More Funding For Brownfield Cleanup

The city of Anderson has 21 known brownfield sites that need environmental cleanup. The city has leveraged more than $1 million in local and state funding to address them and late last year applied for another $300,000 EPA assessment grant. Rob Sparks, Executive Director of the Corporation for Economic Development says it’s important to clean the sites to spur economic development.”
