New Castle Prison Guard Arrested & Charged

Working on an anonymous tip, Indiana State Police arrested 47-year-old Richard Rice of Modoc. The former GEO employee was detained as he tried to enter work at the New Castle Correctional Facility Thursday morning. Rice was arrested for trafficking with Inmates, Possession of what was believed to be Heroin, and Possession of Marijuana over 30 grams. Rice was lodged in the Henry County Jail on a $17,500 bond.

INDOT Mandate To Help Accomodate Holiday Traffic
24.05.13Contractors moved barrels and barricades along interstate work sites Friday to help accommodate Memorial Weekend traffic. The Indiana Department of Transportation mandated that there be no work in construction zones over the holiday weekend and Indiana State Police will be closely monitoring those sites.
