Governor Pence Rolls Up Sleeves

Governor Mike Pence rolled out his spending plan for Indiana yesterday afternoon.. The Pence administration unveiled its first budget before a hearing of the State Budget Committee. The new Republican governor has cash in the bank and a roughly 500-million dollar surplus to work with. Governor Mike Pence has begun his administration with 15 executive orders, including two that fulfill campaign promises. Pence has ordered a moratorium on all new regulations until his budget office can review the existing administrative code and conduct a cost-benefit analysis.
