Madison County Council Restores Funding

The Madison County Council has restored funding for the Central Records department shuttered in 2013’s austerity budget, and reauthorized several positions that were eliminated as well. The council voted 5-1 to use more than 276-thousand dollars from road paving funds for the changes. David McCartney cast the only dissenting vote; Rick Gardner was traveling on business and did not attend the special session.

INDOT Mandate To Help Accomodate Holiday Traffic
24.05.13Contractors moved barrels and barricades along interstate work sites Friday to help accommodate Memorial Weekend traffic. The Indiana Department of Transportation mandated that there be no work in construction zones over the holiday weekend and Indiana State Police will be closely monitoring those sites.
