Five Area Schools Receive Grants

Five local school districts will receive grants to help them reward their best teachers. Cowan, Yorktown, Randolph Central, Shenandoah and Blue River Valley have been selected to receive The Excellence in Performances for Teachers grants. Yorktown is slated to get the largest amount, $210,000. This is the second consecutive year for Cowan to receive the grant money.

INDOT Mandate To Help Accomodate Holiday Traffic
24.05.13Contractors moved barrels and barricades along interstate work sites Friday to help accommodate Memorial Weekend traffic. The Indiana Department of Transportation mandated that there be no work in construction zones over the holiday weekend and Indiana State Police will be closely monitoring those sites.
