The Captain D’s restaurant on Broadway in Anderson went up in flames yesterday. Firefighters arrived at the scene just before 8am and found heavy smoke and flames pouring from the building. The building was completely destroyed by the blaze. No word yet on what started that fire. Troy Knight owns the restaurant as well as a second Captain D’s in Muncie says he plans to rebuild.

Ball State University junior Allison Jacob was crowned the 2013 500 Festival Queen Saturday. Purdue sophomore Bailey Farrer of Royal Center and IUPUI senior Marlie Mathis of Greenwood were selected as Court Princesses. A Muncie mother and son have filed suit against local basketball legend Bonzi Wells.
