Drought Effects Quenched By Early Rains

The State Climate Office at Purdue University says the rain and unseasonably warm temperatures this month have eliminated any lingering effects of last summer‘s drought. But a state climatologist says recent experience indicates the threat of recurring drought is “just round the corner.” The U.S. Drought Monitor says only far northeastern Indiana is still abnormally dry.
