A Connersville police officer and his wife face charges after rescuing an injured fawn over two years ago and bringing it back to health. Jeff Counceller and his wife are charged with unlawful possession of a deer, which could put the couple in jail for up to 60 days and cost them 2-thousand dollars in fines. DNR officers discovered the deer last summer and wanted to euthanize the animal, saying the deer might be dangerous. The couple could go to court in February.
