Ex-MCS Principal Smith’s Conviction Is Overturned

The Indiana Court of Appeals has overturned the conviction of Ex-Muncie Central High School principal Chris Smith. In a 2-1 vote, the panel ruled Smith should not have been found guilty of failure to immediately report a 2010 sexual assault. Prosecutors claimed Smith violated state law when he failed to immediately notify authorities of the reported rape.
