Indiana In Midst Of Flu ‘Epidemic’

The Indiana State Department of Health says Indiana is actually in the midst of a flu epidemic. 43 people have died in Indiana this flu season, which is more than would normally die from influenza by this time each year. A health department can only declare an ‘epidemic‘ if the number of cases of an illness or deaths from that illness are higher than what would normally be expected.

INDOT Mandate To Help Accomodate Holiday Traffic
24.05.13Contractors moved barrels and barricades along interstate work sites Friday to help accommodate Memorial Weekend traffic. The Indiana Department of Transportation mandated that there be no work in construction zones over the holiday weekend and Indiana State Police will be closely monitoring those sites.
