A 25-hundred dollar grant is helping the Muncie Police Department and the Delaware County prosecutor’s office in their battle against domestic violence. The grant will put 16 new digital cameras in the hands of Muncie patrol officers, many of whom are first responders, at domestic violence scenes. The cameras will be used as a tool to document time-sensitive evidence.

Contractors moved barrels and barricades along interstate work sites Friday to help accommodate Memorial Weekend traffic. The Indiana Department of Transportation mandated that there be no work in construction zones over the holiday weekend and Indiana State Police will be closely monitoring those sites.
