Muncie police have recovered a stolen vehicle that led to the arrest of a man they believe to be connected to a rash of Marion car lot burglaries. Police think the suspect was involved in at least two of the 9 break-ins of Marion auto dealerships. His name has not been released and he is being held in the Delaware County Jail on unrelated charges. Marion Police expect to file at least two burglary charges against him and more arrests may arise.

Three people were rescued from the fast-moving waters of the White River, after the canoe they were riding in got stuck on an island in the shallow waters. A 10 and 12 year-old, along with their 22-year-old babysitter were rescued thanks to the combined efforts of Muncie and Yorktown-Mount Pleasant and Salem Township fire departments. [...]17.06.13

A Muncie man was airlifted to an Indianapolis hospital after police say he was shot multiple times while in the Whitely neighborhood. 34-year-old Tyjuan McCraney suffered three gunshot wounds to his lower leg-area. His injuries were not believed to be immediately life threatening. Witnesses say a fight led to that shooting.
