An Anderson man pleaded guilty yesterday in connection with the shooting of an Anderson police K-9 after robbing a bank at gunpoint in August 2012. Joseph Turner was charged with armed robbery, criminal recklessness, resisting law enforcement and striking a law enforcement animal. Magnum had to be euthanized as a result of a gunshot through his snout.

Staff Relations Manager Barb Cross says she‘s among numerous Red Cross staffers nationwide on the ground and assessing the needs. Cross says she always feels personally blessed to be able to help those who are in trouble.
