An update on the “abducted baby” story we told you about first yesterday. Police have arrested 32-year-old Hung Vi Ong after his girlfriend alleged that he beat her and abducted their 5-month-old daughter. Vi Ong was convinced to hand over the child and turn himself in. The baby is safe and back with her mother. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials placed Vi Ong on a detainer because they believe he may be eligible for deportation.

A local member of the American Red Cross is helping in the tornado recovery effort Oklahoma City. Staff Relations Manager Barb Cross says she‘s among numerous Red Cross staffers nationwide on the ground and assessing the needs. Cross says she always feels personally blessed to be able to help those who are in trouble.
