A raid at a home on Muncie’s south side resulted in eight arrests this week. Local law enforcement discovered an active methamphetamine lab in a home on South Elliott Street. The main target of the raid, William Preston Montgomery, has been charged and was being held without bond Wednesday at the Delaware County jail. Also arrested and charged with visiting a common nuisance were: Craig Bartlett, Libby Bartlett, James Carey, David Paul, Jessica Phipps, Angela Rains, and Brandy Rish.

A monstrous tornado at least a half-mile wide with winds up to 200 mph ripped through the Oklahoma city of Moore Monday. Officials say the death toll is expected to rise while more than 200 are being treated at hospitals.The National Weather Service says the twister was at least an EF4.21.05.13
