A once-thriving Marion restaurant will officially close its doors today. The owner of “The Icehouse” says it is time to make some changes after experiencing a long lull in business. Last year, the Icehouse relocated from its longtime spot on West Kem Road to West Chapel Pike. The Icehouse – in business since 1989 – will officially shut down after close of business today.

Three people were rescued from the fast-moving waters of the White River, after the canoe they were riding in got stuck on an island in the shallow waters. A Muncie man was airlifted to an Indianapolis hospital after police say he was shot multiple times while in the Whitely neighborhood. 34-year-old Tyjuan McCraney suffered three gunshot wounds to his lower leg-area. His injuries were not believed to be immediately life threatening. Witnesses say a fight led to that shooting.
