Proposed Anderson Annexation Met With Opposition

Amid overwhelming opposition from Madison County residents, the Anderson City Council on Thursday night tabled Mayor Kevin Smith’s proposal to annex nearly 21 square miles of township and unincorporated township land into the city. This isn’t the end of it. Smith and the council have agreed to participate in a town hall style forum on March 6, organized by former County Commissioner Paul Wilson.

INDOT Mandate To Help Accomodate Holiday Traffic
24.05.13Contractors moved barrels and barricades along interstate work sites Friday to help accommodate Memorial Weekend traffic. The Indiana Department of Transportation mandated that there be no work in construction zones over the holiday weekend and Indiana State Police will be closely monitoring those sites.
