Muncie Man Could See New Murder Trial

Perhaps a new trial for a Muncie man convicted of murder. Last week’s decision, by the Indiana Court of Appeals, comes almost six years after James D. Roberson III, now 32, was found guilty in the 2006 slaying of 22-year-old Antron Dushaun Young. The decision was based on improper wording given to jurors during final instructions.
If the Indiana Supreme Court does not intervene in the case, a new trial will be scheduled.
Any request for the Supreme Court to review the appellate court’s ruling would have to come from Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller’s office.
