Roberson III, now 32, was found guilty in the 2006 slaying of 22-year-old Antron Dushaun Young. The decision was based on improper wording given to jurors during final instructions.
If the Indiana Supreme Court does not intervene in the case, a new trial will be scheduled.
Any request for the Supreme Court to review the appellate court’s ruling would have to come from Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller’s office.
