Alexandria Man Sent To Drug Court

An Alexandria man who pleaded guilty to three separate felonious incidents in a six-week span has been referred to drug court. The prosecutor wanted a maximum sentence of 20 years, but the judge instead referred David L. Hedgecraft Jr. to drug court, a judicially supervised court that handles substance-abusing offenders with a focus on rehabilitation. Hedgecraft faces an evaluation by a clinical group that will decide whether he qualifies for referral.

INDOT Mandate To Help Accomodate Holiday Traffic
24.05.13Contractors moved barrels and barricades along interstate work sites Friday to help accommodate Memorial Weekend traffic. The Indiana Department of Transportation mandated that there be no work in construction zones over the holiday weekend and Indiana State Police will be closely monitoring those sites.
