Historic Tower Place Sold At Auction

A historic building in Anderson has been sold at auction. The Tower Place apartment building has been acquired by a Carmel business owner for 100-thousand dollars. Tower Place is on the National Register of Historic Place. It was built between 1929 and 1930 as a hotel, but never opened because of the Great Depression. The new owner plans to develop the sight to help revitalize downtown Anderson.
