Four east central Indiana communities will benefit from their share of more than $14 million dollars in rental housing tax credits. Lt. Governor Sue Ellspermann announced yesterday that project activities include new construction, rehabilitation, conversion of existing structures, and the preservation of historic buildings. Tax credits will be awarded to The Villages at Van Cleve in Hartford City, Walnut Commons in Muncie, Senior Housing at Anderson’s YMCA and the historic Jennings Apartments in New Castle.

Contractors moved barrels and barricades along interstate work sites Friday to help accommodate Memorial Weekend traffic. The Indiana Department of Transportation mandated that there be no work in construction zones over the holiday weekend and Indiana State Police will be closely monitoring those sites.
